Ad from the past: Ford 7-Litre
For most of the 1960′s, Ford’s most fearsome motor was the 427. While the performance of the race bred engine was indisputable, it didn’t lend itself very well to daily driver duty. Ford’s suggestion for mainstream motorists in 1966 was the 428 V-8. While the displacement of the two engines was the nearly the same, their personalities and performance were far different.
