Fusion is all new for 2013, and the first clue is the front view. Ford formerly owned the luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin, and while that status has largely changed, it’s hard to look at Fusion and not see the influence of Aston’s suave, sinewy front end.

Class Act: 2012 Acura MDX

Cadillac’s history with compact cars has been short and sour. Their previous effort was the ‘80s era Cimarron. Cimarron was essentially a dressed-up version of GM’s J body — the same family that included the Chevy Cavalier. It was badge engineering, and it didn’t work.
